Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore attackman Kevin Looby
(Kansas City, Mo.) notched a goal and three assists to
lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 14-1 win over the visiting
Lasell College Lasers in men's lacrosse action this afternoon on
Jessee/Miller Field. Trinity improves to 3-1, while the
Lasers fall to 1-3.
Trinity scored six times in the first quarter and four more
times in the second quarter, while senior goalie Graham
Fadden (New Canaan, Conn.) held the Lasers scoreless and
made four saves heading into the half. The Bantams tacked on
three more goals in the third frame, and senior goalie Alex
Palma (Chappaqua, N.Y.) needed to make just one save in
the Trinity goal to preserve the shutout through three
quarters. Senior co-captain midfielder Mike Maggio
(Winchester, Mass.) broke the Laser drought with an
extra-man goal with Palma serving a penalty, but Lasell failed to
score once Palma returned.
Trinity senior captain attackman Rob
Mountain (New Canaan, Conn.) tallied two goals and
one assist, while junior attacker Harper Cullen (Rehoboth
Beach, Del.) scored twice. Laser sophomore
Mike Kelliher (Weymouth, Mass.) totaled 14 saves.\
