Hartford, Conn. - Junior attackman Harper Cullen
(Rehoboth Beach, Del.) and sophomore attackman
Kevin Looby (Kansas City, Mo.) each notched three
goals and two assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an
18-5 win over the visiting Manhattanville College Valiants in men's
lacrosse action this afternoon on Jessee/Miller Field.
Trinity improves to 5-2, while the Valiants fall to 3-4.
With the game tied at 1-1 seven minutes into the first quarter,
Trinity rattled off four straight goals en route to the easy
victory. Looby assisted Cullen on the go-ahead score with
7:44 left in the quarter and netted the next two goals in less than
a two-minute span. Trinity blanked the Valiants, 9-0, in the
second and third quarters, before senior midfielder Danny
Hannon (Purchase, N.Y.) broke a 39:34 scoring drought for
the Valiants with 9:07 remaining in the contest.
Trinity senior captain attackman Rob
Mountain (New Canaan, Conn.) added a game-high
four goals, while classmate Sean Delaney (Darien,
Conn.) scored three times, and senior goalie
Graham Fadden (New Canaan, Conn.) made six
saves. Junior midfielder Andrew McMillan (Garden
City, N.Y.) paced Manhattanville with two goals, while
freshman Joe Daly (Mahopac, N.Y.) notched a goal
and two assists, and junior Andrew Predun (Cold Spring
Harbor, N.Y.) made 16 stops.
