Two Late Goals Lift Trinity Women's Soccer Over Albertus Magnus

New Haven, Conn. - Junior forward Leigh Howard (Bethany, Conn.) broke a scoreless tie in the 73rd minute, converting on a pass by freshman forward Shea Kusiak (Longmeadow, Mass.), to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 victory over the Albertus Magnus College Falcons in women's soccer action this afternoon.  Trinity improves to 5-1-3, while the Falcons drop to 9-6.

Albertus Magnus and Trinity played a virtually even game in the first half with shots (3), corner kicks (2), and even fouls (2) tied at the break.  The Falcons best scoring chance came in the 18th minute when sophomore forward Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) had a point blank shot saved by junior goalkeeper Lilly Pepper (Princeton, N.J.) and kept the game scoreless entering the second half.  Kusiak finished off the scoring when she finished a through ball from Howard in the 82nd minute for the final score of 2-0.
