New London, Conn. - Senior Emily Weedon
(Wellesley, Mass.) and junior Lily Pepper
(Princeton Junction, N.J.) combined for nine saves over 110 minutes
to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a scoreless tie in
double overtime against the Connecticut College Camels in New
England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer
action this afternoon on Tempel Green. Trinity remains
undefeated at 4-0-3 overall and 3-0-2 in the NESCAC with its second
draw in a row, Camels move to 3-3-2 overall and 0-3-2 in the
league. while the Kirsten Manville (Fairfax, Va.) collected
two of her three saves in the second half to lead the Connecticut
College women's soccer team to an important point in a scoreless
draw with Trinity College Saturday.
Weedon made six stops in the opening half of action, and Pepper
recorded three saves for the Bantams in the second half and in
overtime. Kirsten Manville had three stops for
Connecticut College. The Camels outshot the Bantams
24-to-9 in the contest, and nearly scored in the first half
when Katelyn Driscoll (Peabody, Mass.) connected with Brigi
Palatino (Ludlow, Mass.) but the play was ruled offsides.
Trinity junior forward Leigh Howard
(Bethany, Conn.) led the visitors with three shots.
