Boston, Mass. - Senior Molly McGlynn
(Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) scored 14 points and grabbed eight
rebounds to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 59-42 victory
over the Emerson College Lions in the consolation game of the
Emerson College Tip-Off Tournament in women's basketball
action at Brown & Plofker Gym this afternoon. The Bantams
improve to 1-1 on the season.
Trinity senior Kristen Fahey
(Cumberland, R.I.) had a strong all-around game, scoring
six points to go along with four rebounds, four assists, two
blocks, and two steals en route to earning All-Tournament honors.
Trinity held Emerson to just 22 percent shooting from the
floor, and out-rebounded the Lions 59-38 in the contest.
Senior Kathy Andrade (Hull,
Mass.) led Emerson with 11 points and nine rebounds, while
sophomore Olivia DiNucci (Pittsburgh, Penn.) added
11 points. The Lions shot just 22% in the contest.
