Hartford, Conn. – Senior tri-captain attackman
Harper Cullen (Rehoboth Beach, Del.) scored three
goals to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 15-2 win over the
visiting Western Connecticut State University Colonials in
men's lacrosse action this afternoon at Jessee/Miller
Field. Trinity is now 1-1 with its first win of the
year, while the Colonials drop to 1-4 with their second loss in a
row.
Senior Andrew Williamson (Sudbury, Mass.) and
freshman Steve Manning (Tyngsboro, Mass.) each
added two goals and one assist, while junior Kevin Looby
(Kansas City, Mo.) scored twice, and freshman Jeff
Hebert (Cornwall, Ontario) added one goal and one assist
for the Bantams. Western Connecticut took a 1-0 lead on a
tally by senior midfielder Kirk Zachary (East Islip,
N.Y.) 3:02 into the game, but Trinity scored the next 15
goals. Colonial sophomore goalie Tyler Martone
(Cheshire, Conn.) had 12 saves and Bantam sophomore
Peter Johnson (Riverside, Conn.) stopped 10 shots.
