Hartford, Conn., Sept. 29, 2010 -- The Trinity College football
team, which won, 33-6, against Colby last weekend in its season
opener, will visit the Williams College Ephs on Saturday, Oct. 2 at
1:30 p.m. in its first road game of the year. The Bantams,
coached by Jeff Devanney (5th season, 28-5),
and the Ephs are currently tied with Amherst, Middlebury, and
Tufts for first place in the NESCAC at 1-0. The Bantams, who
own a 36-game winning streak at home, are looking to snap their
two-game losing slide on the road. Trinity posted a 26-21 win
in Williamstown last fall en route to a 5-0 start to the season,
and has beaten the Ephs three times in a row. Trinity trails
the all-time series against Williams, 35-31-2, in one of the
fiercest rivalries in all of Division III football, but has won six
of the last seven meetings. Williams has not beaten Trinity
since 2006, when the Ephs snapped the Bantams' 31-game winning
streak with a 31-10 win in Williamstown. Trinity won, 20-17,
at Williams two years ago.

Against Colby, freshman RB Ben Crick (Middlebury,

season opener and remained flawless in their 36 games played on the
artificial turf at Jessee/Miller Field. Trinity led, 20-0, at
halftime and, 26-0, heading into the fourth quarter. Trinity
gained 201 yards on the ground with nine different ball carriers,

attempts with two scores and one interception, including two
scoring strikes to senior tri-captain WR Bryce
Bennett. Sophomore LB Chris Cameron
totaled 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble to
power the Williams defense, and senior Pat Barren
returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown. Junior P/K
