Bantams Walk Off to Split with Cardinals on Senior Day

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College softball team split a NESCAC doubleheader against visiting Wesleyan University on Sunday afternoon at the Trinity College Softball Field. Calagna then reached on an error by the shortstop, allowing Goddard to cross the plate with the tying run and send the game into extra innings.

Trinity inserted Annika Haley to pinch run for Rogers, while Wesleyan made a pitching change, bringing in Bella Secaira-Cotto. Erin Steed then hit a grounder to third, where Wesleyan got the force out at third base, but an errant throw to first allowed Haley to race home with the winning run.
