Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – The Trinity College Football fell to host Colby College, 13-6, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash at Harold Alfond Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 0-1 on the season, while the Mules rise to 1-0 overall.

What Happened:
- On the opening possession of the game, the Mules drove into Bantam territory, but junior Bryce Ferrell halted the drive with an interception at the 8-yard line.
- With 9:28 left in the first quarter, the Bantams ripped off a five-play, 60-yard drive, capped with a 20-yard bubble screen from junior Jaxon Carroll to senior Nolan O'Brien to hand Trinity the 6-0 lead.
- The Bantams defense struck again as senior Jason Irizarry Jr picked off the opening pass of the second quarter.
- At the 13:24 mark, Trinity forced a three-and-out, and the ensuing punt was blocked by senior Charlie Cooper, giving the Bantams the ball on the Mules 16-yard line. Two plays later, Trinity gave the ball back as first-year Davi McDonald fumbled at the Colby 12-yard line.
- With 8:45 on the clock, Colby orchestrated a 15-play, 65-yard drive over the next eight minutes to move the ball down to the three-yard line. On third-and-goal, sophomore Tyler Roberts intercepted a pass from Mules senior Miles Drake to shut down the Colby drive.
- The Mules took the lead with 3:39 on the clock in the third as junior Montrail Holmes picked off a pass from Trinity sophomore quarterback Tyler Aronson at the Bantams 8-yard line and took it to the house to give Colby the 7-6 lead.
- The Mules recorded five sacks over the next three Trinity drives to maintain their lead.
- With 8:50 remaining, Colby added an insurance touchdown with an 8-play, 74-yard drive, punctuated by a two-yard touchdown run from junior Antone Moreis to put the Mules ahead 13-6 with 4:49 to play.
- The Mules defense forced a three-and-out and an interception on the final two Trinity drives to secure the win.
- The Mules collect their first victory over the Bantams since a 14-11 win during the 1995 season.
