Williamstown, Mass. - Matt Masucci scored a short-handed goal
with 42 seconds left in the game to lead the Williams College Ephs
to a 3-2 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New
England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's ice hockey
action this evening. Trinity falls to 11-5 overall and 8-4 in
the NESCAC with its second loss in a row, while the Ephs improve to
10-4-2 overall and 8-2-2 in the league.
Trinity led, 2-0, midway through the second period, after goals
by senior co-captain forward Ryan Masucci (Winthrop,
Mass.) and freshman defenseman Michael DeMayo
(Seaford, N.Y.), but the Ephs scored three times in the
final 21 minutes. Sophomore goaltender Wesley
Vesprini (Lexington, Mass.) had 27 saves for the Bantams.
