Waterville, Maine - Freshman forward Celia Colman-McGaw
(Manchester, Conn.) scored three goals and had an assist
on another as the visiting Trinity College Bantams scored five
times in the final two periods for a 6-4 win over the Colby College
Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)
women's ice hockey this evening at Alfond Rink. Trinity moves
to 13-8-2 overall and 8-6-1 in the conference, while Colby falls to
10-10-3 overall and 6-7-2 in the league. The two teams meet again
at Colby at 3 p.m. tomorrow to close the regular season.
Colby's Becky Julian (South Windsor, Conn.)
scored her 60th collegiate goal just 2:52 into the game,
but Colman-McGaw tied the game at intermission with a goal at
15:03. Sarah Kohn (Winchester, Mass.) and
Britney McKenna (Rye, N.Y.) each tallied in the
second period to help the Bantams take a 3-1 lead heading into the
final 20 minutes. The teams combined for six goals in the
final period. Colby's Liz Osgood (North Andover,
Mass.) and Colman-McGaw each had two goals in the period.
Colette Finley (St. Paul, Minn.) had the other
goal for Colby, while Kim Weiss (Potomac, Md.) had
an unassisted goal for Trinity.
