Plattsburgh, N.Y. - Forwards Dan Sliasas (Georgetown,
Ontario) and Chris Weiland (Royal Palm Beach,
Fla.) each recorded a goal and two assists to lead the
SUNY-Plattsburgh Cardinals to a 9-0 win over the visiting Trinity
College Bantams in the finals of the Cardinal Classic Men's Ice
Hockey Tournament this evening. Trinity falls to 5-3-1, while
the Cardinals, ranked No. 2 in the nation, improve to 9-1-2 with
their second win in a row and extend their unbeaten streak to eight
games. Junior Wes Vesprini (Lexington,
Mass.) and senior Joe Hanson (Weymouth,
Mass.) combined for 61 saves in the Bantam goal.
