Trinity Women's Lacrosse Jumps to 5-0 With Win Over Skidmore

Hartford, Conn. – First-year attacker Hadley Duncan (Rye, N.Y.) scored four goals to lead the Trinity College Bantams over the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in women's lacrosse action this afternoon on Sheppard Field.  The Bantams, ranked No. 6 in the nation, improve to 5-0 overall, while the Thoroughbreds fall to 3-2 on the season.

Trinity grabbed a quick 2-0 lead behind goals from sophomore midfielder Liz Bruno (Andover, Mass.) and senior attacker Kristin Phelps (Sudbury, Mass.).  Skidmore would answer with three straight goals over a five-minute stretch before Trinity would go on a 9-0 run to put the Thoroughbreds in a deep hole, one they would be unable to recover from.

Five Bantams scored two or more goals, while junior Lauren McCarthy (Ipswitch, Mass.), tallied three scores, all coming within a 12-minute span.  Trinity sophomore goalkeeper Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.) made three stops in net for the Bantams while Skidmore sophomore Rachel Klein (Far Hills, N.J.) made eight saves for the Thoroughbreds.

Trinity will visit Union, ranked No. 16 in the nation, on Thurs., Apr. 1 at 5 p.m., before hosting NESCAC rival and No. 10 ranked Williams on Sat., Apr. 3 at noon in a game that will be webcast live at www.trincoll.tv.
