Hartford, Conn. – First-year attacker Hadley
Duncan (Rye, N.Y.) scored four goals to lead the Trinity
College Bantams over the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds in
women's lacrosse action this afternoon on Sheppard
Field. The Bantams, ranked No. 6 in the nation, improve to
5-0 overall, while the Thoroughbreds fall to 3-2 on the season.
Trinity grabbed a quick 2-0 lead behind goals from sophomore
midfielder Liz Bruno (Andover, Mass.) and senior
attacker Kristin Phelps (Sudbury, Mass.).
Skidmore would answer with three straight goals over a five-minute
stretch before Trinity would go on a 9-0 run to put the
Thoroughbreds in a deep hole, one they would be unable to recover
from.
Five Bantams scored two or more goals, while junior
Lauren McCarthy (Ipswitch, Mass.), tallied three
scores, all coming within a 12-minute span. Trinity sophomore
goalkeeper Gina Dinallo (West Hartford, Conn.)
made three stops in net for the Bantams while Skidmore sophomore
Rachel Klein (Far Hills, N.J.) made eight saves
for the Thoroughbreds.
Trinity will visit Union, ranked No. 16 in the nation, on
Thurs., Apr. 1 at 5 p.m., before hosting NESCAC rival and No. 10
ranked Williams on Sat., Apr. 3 at noon in a game that will be
webcast live at www.trincoll.tv.
