Trinity Men's Ice Hockey Blanked At Williams

Williamstown, Mass. - Senior forward Ben Contini (Toronto, Ontario) had two goals and two assists to lead the Williams College Ephs to a 5-0 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's ice hockey action this afternoon.  Trinity falls to 4-6-3 overall and 2-5-1 in the NESCAC, while Williams, ranked No. 7 in the nation, improves to 9-2-1 overall and 6-2 in the league with its second win in as many days.

Williams scored twice in the first period, and Contini scored twice in the opening 5:39 of the second stanza.  Bantam senior Wes Vesprini (Lexington, Mass.) and freshman Ben Coulthard (South Windsor, Conn.) combined for 33 Bantam saves, while junior Ryan Purdy (LaJolla, Calif.) made 30 stops for the Ephs.
