Women's Ice Hockey Shocked At Colby, Loses For First Time In 11 Games

Waterville, Maine – Senior captain forward Liz Osgood (North Andover, Mass.) scored the game's only goal and first-year goaltender Brianne Wheeler (Brussels, Ontario) had 27 saves in a shutout victory, as the Colby College Mules defeated the visiting Trinity College Bantams, 1-0 in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this evening at Alfond Rink.  Trinity, ranked No. 7 in the nation, falls to 10-2-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the NESCAC with its first loss in 11 games.  Colby improves to 6-10 overall and 2-7 in the league while snapping a three-game losing skid.  Trinity freshman Alexa Pujols (New Canaan, Conn.) made 20 saves in a losing effort.
