Hartford, Conn. – Sophomore forward Tory Allan (Davidson, Saskatchewan) scored his second goal of the season to lead the No. 3-ranked Norwich University Cadets to a 1-0 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East men's ice hockey action this afternoon at Williams Rink.  Norwich improves to 11-5-1 overall and 9-1-1 in the ECAC East, while the Bantams fall to 5-7-3 overall and 3-6-1 in the ECAC East.

Norwich controlled the first two periods, outshooting Trinity 23-8, and putting two shot attempts off the goalpost.  A Norwich goal was overturned midway through the second period when an interference penalty was called, but late in the period, Allan was able to slip a shot past Trinity senior goalie Wesley Vesprini (Lexington, Mass.), giving Norwich all the offense they would need.

The Bantams took control in the third period, nearly doubling their shots from the first two periods, and outshooting the Cadets 14-9, but Norwich freshman goaltender Parker Carroll (West Chester, Penn.), in just his fourth career start, would stop every Bantam shot to earn his first collegiate shutout.  Trinity was unable to capitalize on a 2-man advantage opportunity in the period. 

The Trinity defense held Norwich, averaging over four goals a game this season, to one goal for just the second time this season.
