Trinity Women's Lacrosse Stays Perfect With Road Win Against Williams

Williamstown, Mass. - The Williams College Ephs (4-2, 1-3 NESCAC) fell 9-4 to the visiting New England Small Colege Athletic Conference (NESCAC) rival Trinity College Bantams this afternoon on Lamb Field.  Trinity, ranked No. 4 in the nation is now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the NESCAC, while the No. 13-ranked Ephs drop to 4-2 overall and 1-3 in the league.  The Bantams out-shot the Ephs 22-15 and controlled 50% more of the draws.

Margie Fulton,  Kaitlin Ellis'12, and Emily Jablonski'14 scored for the Ephs. Fulton scored twice, while Ellis and Jablonski each contributed a goal and assisted. Rebecca McGovern'14 also contributed an assist.  Sophomore attackers Kaitlin Hildebrand (Berwyn, Pa.) and Hadley Duncan (Rye, N.Y.) led the scoring for the Bantams with two goals apiece. The remaining five goals were split between five different players.

Hildebrand scored five minutes into the first half. Williams freshmen Jablonski and McGovern combined to tied the score at one apiece, but Hildebrand struck again a 20 seconds later and the Bantams held teh lead the rest of the way.  Sophomore Olivia Whitney (Danvers, Mass.) had five saves in the Trinity goal.
