Hartford, Conn. – The visiting Trinity College Bantams scored four times in the opening six minutes of the second half to take an 8-2 lead, before finishing off the Stevens University Ducks, 11-7, in women's lacrosse action this afternoon.  Trinity ranked No. 8 in the nation, moves to 1-0 with its season-opening victory and extends its regular-season winning streak to 16 games.  No. 10-ranked Stevens drops to 2-1.

Senior co-captain midfielder Liz Bruno (Andover, Mass.) had two goals and two assists to go with four ground balls, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers for Trinity.  Bantam senior attacker Caitlin Irvine (Westwood, Mass.) and junior attacker Hadley Duncan (Rye, N.Y.) added three goals apiece, and junior midfielder Megan Leonhard (Summit, N.J.) contributed one goal, one assist, and four draw controls.  Junior goalie Olivia Whitney (Danvers, Mass.) made five saves for Trinity, while Meg Collins stopped 10 shots for the Ducks.
