Trinity Men's Tennis Loses Against Williams

Williamstown, Mass. - First-year Aaron Segel (Needham, Mass.) recorded the lone Trinity College Bantam point with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles in an 8-1 loss to the Williams College Ephs in men's tennis action this afternoon.  Trinity falls to 6-9 overall and 1-6 in the NESCAC with its third straight setback, while the Ephs, ranked No. 5 in the nation, improve to 15-3 overall and 6-1 in the league with their fourth victory in a row.

Bantam sophomore Ned Mandel (Chevy Chase, Md.) took his opponent at the No. 2 spot to three sets, falling, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.  Trinity first-year Ford Traff (Wayzata, Minn.) nearly won at No. 3 singles, recovering from a 6-3 loss in the first set to win the second set, 6-4, and played to a 6-6 tie in the third set before losing on a tiebreaker.
