This Week: The Trinity College men's ice hockey team skated to a pair of New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) home victories last weekend to run their current winning streak 10 games. The Bantams erased a one-goal third-period deficit with three unanswered tallies en route to a 3-1 triumph versus Connecticut college and capped the week of action with a resound 4-1 win versus Tufts. This weekend, the team will hit the road to square off with Amherst and Hamilton in league play.

Earlier This Year Versus the Jeffs: Sophomore forward Ryan Cole scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Bantams to a 7-2 victory in their home opener. Also in the contest, first-year forward Anthony Sabitsky scored a goal and registered to assists for Trinity.

Earlier this Season Against the Continentals: Trinity and Hamilton skated to a 1-1 tie as Bantams junior netminder Nathaniel Heilbron made 31 saves and on the opposite end, Evan Buitenhuis turned aside a season-high 46 shots. Both teams netted goals in the second period as Michael Hawkrigg tied the game with a marker late in the second.

- Once again Trinity jumped up in national rankings, moving to No. 3 in the latest D3hockey.com poll and the Bantams are also No. 3 in the most recent USCHO.com poll. Trinity's lone setback this season came to No. 11 UMass Boston earlier this season at home. Amherst is ranked No. 13 in the USCHO.com poll and No. 12 in the D3hockey.com poll.
- Junior forward Michael Hawkrigg became the first member of the team to earn NESCAC Player of the Week honors this after registering four points on a goal and three assists as the Bantams pushed their current win streak to ten games with a pair of NESCAC wins. He dished out assists on Trinity's first and third goals in a 3-1 win over Connecticut College to start the weekend. Hawkrigg went on to score the game's first goal versus Tufts and assisted the next goal, which proved to be the game-winner, while the Bantams were on the power play.
- Through 16 games, the Bantams have scored 72 goals to rank fourth in the nation in scoring offense (4.50 goals per game) after exploding for seven or more goals in five victories this winter. Trinity is fourth in the country in scoring margin at 2.56.
- First-year forward Tyler Whitney has skated well for Trinity this winter, scoring 10 goals and adding five assists. Whitney is currently second in the nation with four game-winning goals.
- Sophomore forward Sean Orlando leads the team in goals with 11. He has added nine assists to give him 20 points on the year. Orlando leads the team, conference and the country with eight power-play goals (0.50 goals per game) this season.
- Ryan Cole has been a point-producing machine in 2014-15 for the Bantams. Both Cole and Hawkrigg lead the team and conference in scoring with 22 points (1.38 points per game). In conference play, Cole has recorded 15 points.
- Senior tri-captain Jackson Brewer is having another quality season for the team from Connecticut's capital city. Earlier this winter, Brewer became the 19th player in program history to reach the 100-point plateau. He currently leads the team in assists with 16 and ranks fourth in the country in assists per game (1.00).
- Between the pipes, Heilbron has played well this season, going 10-1-1 with a .930 save percentage and a 2.04 goals-against average. First-year goaltender Alex Morin has earned victories in each of his first four starts for the Bantams. In net, Morin has a 1.07 goals-against average to go with a .957 save percentage.
- Trinity's depth is shown in their third-period scoring margin. In the final 20 minutes this season, the Bantams have outscored their opponents, 27-10. Trinity has also done a good job scoring early, netting 25 goals and allowing just nine during the first period.
- On special teams, the Bantams have converted 20-of-70 power-play opportunities and Trinity has killed 44-of-53 penalties this season.
