New London, Conn. -The Connecticut College Camels posted a 3-0
victory against the Trinity College Bantams in New England
Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball action played
at Luce Fieldhouse this evening. Game scores were 25-20,
25-20 and 25-22 in favor of the hosts, as the Camels improve to
10-6 overall and 3-1 in the NESCAC and Trinity falls to 7-6 overall
and 1-3 in the league.
Senior Caitlin Tomaska (Solana Beach, Calif.)
buried a match-high 13 kills to go with nine digs, registering an
impressive .370 hitting percentage in the victory. Junior
Meg Christman (Wilmington, Del.) buried 10 kills
to go along with three blocks, hitting a sizzling .520 with just
one error in the win. Sophomore setter Marissa DeMais
(Hillsdale, N.J.) dished out 32 assists for the hosts.
Freshman libero Ally Terlizzi (Mount Kisco, N.Y.)
chipped in with a match-high 20 digs for Connecticut College.
Trinity senior Emily Borsting (Portland,
Oregon) had nine kills, while freshman Emily
Guthorn (Huntington Beach, Calif.) finished with seven
kills and five aces. Junior Rachel Low (San Francisco,
Calif.) distributed 14 assists and sophomore
Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) added 12
assists in the match. Freshman Sarah Blagden
(Charleston, S.C.) contributed 10 digs for the visitors.
