MacDougall (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) totaled 16 points, a

College Bantams to a 74-70 win over the visiting Wesleyan
University Cardinals in New England Small College Athletic

Trinity used a 13-0 run early in the second half to turn a 45-39
deficit into a 52-45 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the
game, A trey by Wesleyan sophomore guard Jason
Mendell (Bedford, N.Y.) put Wesleyan ahead, 45-39, with
15:45 remaining, but a three-pointer and a jumper by MacDougall and
a drive and two free throws by freshman guard Cameron
Sutton (Queens, N.Y.) capped off the Bantam spurt that put
the home team ahead for good. Wesleyan closed a bucket in the
final minute on a freshman forward Greg St. Jean (Danville,
Calif.) and got within one after a second St. Jean drive
with 13 seconds on the clock. The Cardinals quickly fouled
and MacDougall made one of two tries from the line, but then
hustled downcourt to block the game-tying attempt by Wesleyan
senior tri-captain guard Jeremy Kaminer (Cherry Hill,
N.J.) with two seconds left. Bantam freshman guard
Mick Distasio (Yarmouth, Maine) iced the game with
a pair from the charity stripe.

Mass.) joined MacDougall in double figures in scoring with
14 and 11 points, respectively, while sophomore forward Jon
Pike (Exeter, N.H.) pulled down eight rebounds and scored
nine points. Freshman forward Mike Callaghan
