Middlebury, Vt. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams lost, 4-3, in overtime against the Middlebury College Panthers in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) field hockey action this afternoon on Kohn Field.  In a battle between teams ranked in the top ten nationally, the No. 7-ranked Bantams fell to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the NESCAC, while the No. 10-ranked Panthers improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the league.

The Bantams trailed, 3-1, in the second half before battling back to tie the game, only to see the Panthers pick up the win 4:16 into the extra session.  Trinity jumped out early, scoring just 34 seconds into the game when Christy Bradley took a feed from Hadley Duncan and quickly found the back of the cage for the 1-0 advantage. Middlebury tied the game at 14:48, when Heather Karpas tipped in a shot from Lauren Greer in transition following a Trinity corner.
