New London, Conn. - Freshman forward Sean Orlando (Ivyland, Pa.)
scored twice, including the game-winner with just four seconds left
in overtime to lift the visiting Trinity College Bantams to their
fifth consecutive win in a 4-3 triumph over the Connecticut College
Camels at Dayton Arena this evening. Trinity, ranked No. 15
in the nation, improved its record to 12-3 overall with a 7-2
mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC),
while the Camels fell to 3-11-1 overall with a 2-7 mark in
conference action.
Trinity scored twice in a 1:58 span early in the second period
to take control in the second period of play. Junior forward Tim
Shea (Somerset, Mass.) scored on a breakaway with 13:08 remaining
in the second to put the Bantams on top 3-1. With 6:11
remaining in the second, JC Cangelosi (Estero, Fla.) tipped in his
team-leading 10th goal of the season for the Camels. With 33
seconds left in the middle period, the Camels used their power play
to pull even with the equalizer, as Mike Sinsigalli (Redding,
Conn.) put one in from the left circle.
Trinity held a 39-to-16 edge on the shot chart, and received
goals its remaining goal from sophomore forward Joe Horak (St.
Louis, Mo.), two assists apiece by junior forward Jackson Brewer
(Newton, Mass.) and sophomore forward Michael Hawkrigg (Toronto,
Ontario), and 13 saves by senior Ben Coulthard (South Windsor,
Conn.). Brewer and junior captain defenseman Michael Flynn
(Cheshire, Conn.) assisted on the game-winner.
