Box Score Clinton, N.Y. – The visiting Trinity College women's hockey team fell to Hamilton, 2-0, on Friday night in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action at Russell Sage Rink despite taking over twice as many shots as the hosts. With the loss, the Bantams saw their three-game winning streak snapped as they moved to 9-4-1 overall and 2-4-1 in league play, while the Continentals won their second straight to improve to 7-5-3 on the year and 1-4-2 in conference tilts.
Hamilton first-year goaltender Sam Walther stopped all 29 shots she faced to record her second career shutout. On the opposite end, first-year netminder Sydney Belinskas (Port Orange, Fla.) stopped 11 shots in a losing effort for the Bantams.
The Continentals opened the scoring 12:39 into the first period as Hannah Bartlett potted her seventh marker of the season. The junior forward corralled a pass from linemates Megan Ahern and Katie Parkman then beat Belinskas for what would prove to be the game winner.
