Bowdoin scored the game's first goal as the clock reached one minute remaining in the opening period. Seconds into the power play, Maegan Sheehan shot from the right dot and aimed far post. Ariana Bourque redirected the puck as it slid across the ice to deflect in her ninth goal of the season. Trinity senior forward Cheeky Herr (Princeton, N.J.) set up the game-tying goal 4:22 into the second period, controlling the puck behind Bowdoin's net. The senior found captain Shannon Farrell (Kennebunk, Maine) low on the left side and fed her with a pass, with Farrell burying a low angle shot to knot the game at 1-1.
Finn gave Trinity its first lead of the game four minutes later. Taking a feed from Maffeo, Finn skated left to right in the low slot and wristed the puck past Bowdoin goalie Lan Crofton to give the Bantams a 2-1 edge. Bowdoin's Miranda Bell tied the game with 5:14 remaining in the middle frame. Bourque started the play by picking the puck off a Trinity player at neutral ice, and finding Bell on the right side. Bell took a shot from the right circle and found the far post. Trinity took the lead 1:18 into the final period, capitalizing on a turnover in Bowdoin's defensive zone. Maffeo collected the puck and turned around for an open look at Crofton, burying the puck top right shelf. Finn capped the game with an empty netter with 52 seconds to go in the game. Sophomore netminder Sydney Belinskas (Port Orange, Fla.) ended the day with 20 stops for Trinity, while Crofton made 27 saves for the Polar Bears.
