Clinton, N.Y. - Junior goalkeeper Julia Pitino (Littleton, Mass.) made six saves to earn her first career win and shutout, as the visiting Trinity College Bantams collected a 2-0 victory against the Hamilton College Continentals in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer action this afetrnoon at Love Field.  The Bantams, now 1-1-1 overall and 1-1 in the NESCAC, scored twice in the second half, while the Continentals are now 1-2-1 overall and 1-2-0 in league play.

Senior tri-captain midfielder Kendra Lena (Madison, Conn.) put the visitors on the board early in the second period with her first goal of the year. A Trinity throw-in from the left sideline was broken up by a Hamilton defender before junior midfielder Maddie Snyder (MOntclair, N.J.) sent the ball back toward the middle of the field. Lena's shot from about 20 yards out went inside the left post for the game's first score.

Just under 10 minutes later the Bantams took advantage of a scrum in front of the net to double their lead. First-year Tricia Pollock (Beverly, Mass.) wound up with the ball at the left post and after her initial shot was saved by a sprawling Emily Dumont, Pollock chipped the rebound over the Hamilton goalkeeper into the net.

The Continentals had a pair of chances midway through the period. A corner kick in the 68th minute by Rachel Cady wound up at the feet of Jessie Murray just outside the box at the far post but her shot went wide.  Less than a minute later a long pass sprung Katie Kreider down the left sideline, but her shot across the goal mouth was saved by Pitino.
