The Bantams came with early pressure, but Finn and senior tri-captain midfielder Mackenzie Taskey (Bethesda, Md.) were stopped by Owls goalie Gwendolyn Thayer on back-to-back shots. The Owls took the lead when Smith tapped home Erica Stauffer's pass in the 24th minute.  Three minutes later, Trinity tied the score, as Finn scored from close range with an assist from classmate Brenna Hobin (Madison, Conn.).  Just before the break, Trinity took the lead. Sophomore forward Chandler Solimine (Pelham, N.Y.) plucked a Madison Thomas (Norwalk, Conn.) pass out of the air to score past Thayer with 13 seconds left.

In the second stanza, Keene State retied the game just five minutes after the break.  Kendal Brown rifled in a pass, and Smith was on the spot again to tie the score and the record. After Bantam junior midfielder Nicole Quinlan (Duxbury, Mass.) hit the post in the 52nd minute, Trinity went back in front two minutes later.  Finn grabbed her second of the game, with her shot just trickling under Thayer.  The Owls went on the attack, earning a penalty corner in the 59th minute when Kayla Renaud shot wide.  The Owls were then denied by a sprawling double save from Trinity goalkeeper Lori Berger (Scottsdale, Ariz.), who kept Brown and Jensyn Dandenau out of the net.  Berger made another stop on Renaud with 43 seconds left to preserve the final score. Smith scored her 15th and 16th of the season, giving her 70 for her career and tying the record set by Kay Mulcahy in 1985.  Gwendolyn Thayer made three saves for the Owls, who outshot the Bantams 12-10.  Marita Brothers also had a defensive save.  Berger had five stops for Trinity.
