Box Score 2 HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Volleyball team dropped their opening game to visiting Springfield College in a five-set battle before defeating UMass-Boston, 3-0, in the final match of a non-conference tri-match at Oosting Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 6-1 on the season, while the Pride hold a 6-2 mark, and the Beacons sit at 2-8 overall.

What Happened vs. Springfield:
- The Bantams fell to the Pride in five sets, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 13-15.
- Springfield edged the Bantams in kills (61-45), service aces (11-9), assists (59-44), and digs (98-87).
- Senior Ellie Gordon fell one kills shy of matching the program record for kills in a game, slamming a career-high 26 kills with four digs and two blocks.
- Junior Catalina Hendricks logged a double-double with a career-high 30 assists, a career-high 11 digs and a match-high four aces, while first-year Sarah Jeremias posted career-highs in kills (9) and digs (20).
- Junior Scarlett Jago grabbed a season-high 28 digs and a matched a career-high with nine assists.
- Junior Chloe Gentile and sophomore Maya Hall chipped in seven kills apiece.
- Springfield was paced by junior Ahunna James with a team-high 16 kills, 15 digs and four blocks.
- Junior Jodi Saelua added nine blocks and a match-high seven blocks, while classmate Tori Colosimo dished out a match-high 35 assists for the Pride.

What Happened vs. UMass-Boston:
- Trinity rolled to a three-set sweep over the Beacons, 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.
- The Bantams controlled the kills column, 32-21, along with assists (28-20), aces (7-0), digs (66-53) and blocks (7-6).
- Senior Maggie Barnes notched a season-high eight kills, while Gordon recorded seven kills.
- Hendricks had 13 assists and senior Caroline Howell contributed eight assists and eight digs.
- Jeremias posted 13 digs with three kills, a match-high three aces and two assists, while Hall added six kills.
- Jago snared a match-high 25 digs for Trinity in the win.
- UMB sophomore Addie Blomgren delivered a team-high six kills, while Kesmyn Alves and Paige Coulson chipped in four kills apiece.
